Press Clippings and Media Coverage Tuesday, February 19, 2002 Diets banished from popular teen mag YM SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER STAFF and NEWS SERVICES The editor of the popular teen magazine YM has banished diet stories from the publication. Christina Kelly, editor-in-chief of YM, says impressionable teenagers already hear enough about "trying to look better." She made the remarks on public radio's On The Media program recently. Kelly says the magazine has plenty to write about without including fad diets and weight loss tips for girls. She also said YM doesn't only feature thin models with fantasy measurements: a size 14 model appeared in a prom fashion spread. Maybe this will start a trend.
